Implantable Tissue Isolation Chambers for Analyzing Tumor Dynamics in vivo
The recruitment of new blood vessels is central to tumor progression. Studying tumors and normal tissue is experimentally challenging due to rapidly changing events in a short distance and a dense 3D space.
In the current practice, a tumor is implanted directly in host tissue or in a culture. No vascular/tumor biology detail is provided.
Solution: Our product treats partially confined tumors within biocompatible and optically clear tissue isolation chambers.
Our solution has applicability to in vivo drug testing and cancer research. Provisional patents have been obtained.
