Intra-organ solid stress sensor
Tumors and other solid organs develop high internal solid stress (SS) which compresses blood vessels and blocks (chemo) therapy.
Currently, there is no device to monitor solid stress. Instead, solid stress is treated with angiotensin II receptor antagonists.
Solution: A catheter-based tumor micosensor system can measure tumor solid stress levels in situ. Our solution is driven by a proprietary biocompatible lead-free piezo-electric material technology.
This sensor is applicable to other biological pressure measurements intra-ocular pressure, compartment syndrome. PCT filed a national US patent application in 2018.
